![]() ![]() It’s not really a fun mode considering its really unlikely that you’ll even be near the top score. Additionally, there is a daily grind feature where you must attempt to get the highest score in the world. Every five levels are grouped as a theme, and the themes are distinctly different from each other through both games. Both modes use the same level maps and there are 25 levels in OlliOlli and OlliOlli2 for a total of 50 levels. The objectives are fun and getting a perfect five-star rating can be a very satisfying experience. In Career mode you are also given a set of objectives in each level. The Career mode where you progress through levels to unlock more stages, and the Spots mode where you try to string together the largest combo possible. OlliOlli and OlliOlli2 have two main modes of playing. The pace of the game can make performing intricate tricks difficult, so getting a good combo or finishing a level without getting a sloppy rating is rewarding and a lot of fun. While your maximum skating speed is limited, grinds can increase your speed, and timing your tricks becomes a true challenge to your reflexes. Timing tricks and landing them with a good rating (sloppy, ok, sick, then perfect) can be difficult at first, but there is a pretty good tutorial that will ease you into the game. There are numerous tricks and grinds you can do for points, and all are available in the in-game “tricktionary”. ![]() You use your left control stick to initiate tricks and slide on rails, while you use the x button to land on the ground and speed up. While the premise may sound simple, the tricks and slides you can do are anything but. You skate along the map timing tricks onto rails for combo points. The basic premise for both games is quite straightforward. OlliOlli and OlliOlli2 are both 2D skateboarding games that follow a similar formula, and both are quite a bit of fun. This two game pack includes both the original OlliOlli, OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood, three making-of documentaries, the soundtrack, and an exclusive studio booklet.
